Privacy Policy

Houndia (“we,” “us”) publishes guides and digital products for first-time dog and puppy parents at houndia.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

We collect information in two ways:

• Information you give us directly — your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter or purchase a digital product.
• Information collected automatically— pages visited, approximate location (city/country level), device and browser type, and how you found the site, collected via the analytics tools listed in Section 4 once you've accepted cookies. When you submit an email through one of our forms, we also store a one-way hashed version of your IP address, used only to detect and prevent spam and abuse — never your raw IP address, and never for tracking.

When you purchase a digital product, payment is processed securely by Razorpay. We do not receive or store your full card details — Razorpay handles that directly, and we only keep the order information (such as the product purchased and amount paid) needed to fulfill your purchase and provide support.

• To fulfill a purchase and give you access to it in your Library.
• To send occasional emails about new guides and products, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
• To understand which content is useful so we can improve it.
• To detect and prevent spam or abuse of our forms.

We use a cookie to remember your cookie preference itself, and — only if you accept — cookies from analytics providers that may include Google Analytics and Plausible Analytics. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie banner. Rejecting cookies does not affect your ability to read articles or browse products.

We use third-party services to operate the site, including a payment processor, an email service provider, and hosting and analytics infrastructure. These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us using the details in Section 8. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by replying to the email or contacting us using those same details.

Newsletter and marketing data. We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed, and delete it within a reasonable period after you unsubscribe or request deletion.

Purchase and account data.If you've purchased a digital product, we retain your order, payment, and product-entitlement records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the product you purchased, maintain your access to it in your Library, process refunds, comply with accounting and legal obligations, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes.
